Preparan producción acuícola en el Edomex para la próxima temporada



Tras el final de la Semana Santa, período en que el consumo de pescado se incrementa significativamente, los productores del sur del Estado de México se encuentran en plena preparación para abastecer la demanda local de tilapia tipo mojarra en el próximo año.

Un total de 43 productores de Villa Guerrero, Capulhuac, Tenancingo y Zacualpan han dado inicio a la siembra de 400 mil crías de tilapia tipo mojarra, provenientes del Centro Acuícola “La Paz”, ubicado en Villa Guerrero.

La distribución de las crías se ha dividido de manera equitativa, destinando 200 mil de ellas a 40 bordos familiares y ejidales para autoconsumo en Tenancingo y Zacualpan, mientras que el resto se ha asignado a tres granjas en Villa Guerrero y Capulhuac.

Estas crías de tilapia, con aproximadamente tres centímetros de tamaño, se espera que estén listas para su consumo en un plazo de ocho meses, alcanzando un peso de más de 300 gramos, con una tasa de supervivencia proyectada entre el 70 y 80 por ciento.

Para garantizar el éxito de la cría y el desarrollo óptimo de los peces, los productores reciben asistencia técnica en aspectos como la alimentación y la distribución adecuada de las crías, con el fin de evitar riesgos como la reproducción prematura debido a la falta de alimento y espacio.

Además, los bordos familiares han sido acondicionados previamente para fomentar el crecimiento de vegetales, insectos y fitoplancton, que servirán como fuente de alimento para las crías, mientras que se ha establecido una densidad de entre uno y cuatro peces por metro cuadrado para garantizar un desarrollo saludable.
