Es Miércoles de Ceniza






Hoy miércoles es de imposición de ceniza y el recordatorio de que todos nos vamos a morir. Y vale la pena cuestionarnos como mexicanos si realmente no le tememos a la muerte y nos da risa como decimos o de fondo no nos queremos morir, que no sea pronto y que no nos dé algún padecimiento doloroso antes de que ocurra el final.

Y bueno, lo otro que preocupa es la incógnita de si existe el más allá y de qué está hecho pero nadie ha venido para contarnos y de quienes han estado al borde de morir no se tiene la seguridad de sus palabras pues se especula que estaban delirando. Así pues, nadie nos vamos a escapar de la muerte y tampoco sabemos de qué manera y cuándo sucederá. Es por eso que el miércoles de ceniza lo que enfatiza la iglesia Católica es a reconocer la fragilidad del ser humano y el perdón divino, que se acompaña de ayuno y sacrifiicios. Es un momento de reflexión para convertirnos, para volver a Dios, purificarnos de las faltas y creer.

En esta fecha la frase que trasciende es “Polvo eres y en polvo te convertirás”; y  la ceniza  se asegura que proviene de las hojas de palma quemadas en la celebración del Día de Ramos del año anterior.

Tras la imposición de la ceniza comienza la Cuaresma o cuarenta días en que los fieles se preparan con ayuno y oración para la Semana Santa que recuerdan la Pasión, Muerte y Resurrección de Jesucristo. Hoy no es una fecha triste o fatalista sino un acto de humildad y esperanza de lo que vendrá.
