Super Bowl demandará hasta 127 mil toneladas de aguacate en Edomex



A lo largo del próximo fin de semana el estado de México, conseguirá la colocación de alrededor de 127 mil toneladas de aguacate, tanto en los municipios mexiquenses como en los estados vecinos, consolidándose como una de las principales temporadas de venta de este fruto y relacionado a la edición 58 del Super Bowl.

Jorge Omar Velázquez, director general para un Desarrollo Agropecuario Adaptativo y Autosuficiencia Alimentaria refirió que en el estado de México, se cuentan 31 municipios que tienen producción de los cuales sólo Temascaltepec y Donato Guerra han conseguido las certificaciones sanitarias por Senasica para su exportación, sin embargo Coatepec Harinas es uno de los principales productores que se tienen al respecto. 

En territorio mexiquense se destinen anualmente 13 mil hectáreas para la siembra de aguacate de las cuál es es la mayor parte se consume de manera local.

“Se quedan a nivel nacional, alguna parte de la producción se baja Jalisco, a Michoacán o a otros estados, pero la mayor parte se consume de manera local”.

Refirió que al ser una temporada estacional, los precios al público pueden variar de manera significativa hasta alcanzar los 100 pesos por kilo, considerando también el tipo de especie requerida. 

Adicional a este fin de semana de febrero la principal temporada de consumo de aguacate a nivel estatal se concentra en la cuaresma que iniciará la siguiente semana.
