Mes del cáncer de mama



Ya que estamos en el Mes de la Sensibilización del Cáncer de Mama, es imprescindible recordarle a todas las mujeres que hay que autoexplorarse los senos, especialmente quienes tienen 20 años o más. Esto para prevenir el desarrollo de cáncer. Lo ideal es pararse frente al espejo, buscar cambios en la forma, tamaño o superficie de los senos; hundimientos, enrojecimiento o laceraciones, según el Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social. En caso de ser positivo, acudir a una evaluación médica.

El cáncer hace que las células de la mama sufran alteraciones, se multipliquen sin control y formen tumores que, de no tratarse, pueden propagarse por todo el cuerpo y causar la muerte.

En México mueren a diario 21 mujeres por cáncer de mama y el 60 por ciento de los casos están relacionados con diagnosticadas tardíos, cuando la enfermedad se encuentra en etapas avanzadas, con base en la Secretaría de Salud.

En este mes se suele usar un lazo rosa que simboliza el compromiso de compañías y organizaciones de crear consciencia sobre el cáncer de mama que es el tipo de cáncer más común y principal causa de muerte de mujeres en todo el mundo.

Asimismo, que es importante como prevención realizar ejercicio al menos 30 minutos todos los días, evitar el cigarro y el alcohol. Lo importante hoy en día es que, tú como mujer, conozcas tus senos
