Jornada laboral



En la Cámara de Diputados federal está como parte de la agenda legislativa la reducción de la jornada laboral a 40 horas a la semana. E independientemente de lo que digan los partidos, tomemos en cuenta en qué nos beneficiaría: que podríamos tener más tiempo para actividades personales, familiares y recreativas, logrando un mejor equilibrio entre la vida laboral y la vida personal. Asimismo, menos horas de trabajo pueden reducir el estrés y mejorar la salud mental y física de los empleados, ser más productivos y fomentar la creatividad y la innovación. Por otro lado, disminuir el ausentismo y el tiempo en la oficina que incluye desplazamientos, tráfico y congestionamientos. 

Actualmente algunos países con la jornada laboral de ocho horas son Francia, Alemania, Canadá, Australia, y Reino Unido si bien puede variar según el sector y el acuerdo colectivo. Ahora bien, podría funcionar que apliquen las horas extra por las que los trabajadores reciban una compensación extra. De lo que se trata es que exista eficiencia operativa, competitividad, innovación, crecimiento y sostenibilidad ambiental. La tendencia es pues hacia jornadas más cortas, flexibilidad horaria, enfoque en resultados, automatización de tareas rutinarias y bienestar de los empleados.
