Coordinan esfuerzos en beneficio de las mujeres en reclusión en Santiaguito






Se llevó a cabo un recorrido a lo largo del área femenil del Centro, en este espacio se cuenta con talleres, una biblioteca, bebeteca y dormitorios con espacios exclusivos para mujeres madres y sus hijos.

Con el objetivo de transversalizar la política pública de género en el estado, dirigida por la Gobernadora, Mtra. Delfina Gómez Álvarez y establecer la agenda interinstitucional de trabajo coordinado con autoridades competentes en materia de atención, prevención y erradicación de la violencia en beneficio de las mujeres privadas de la libertad y de las primeras infancias, la Secretaría de Seguridad (SS) recibió a la Secretaria de las Mujeres, Mónica Chávez Duran, a la Consejera del Poder Judicial del Estado de México, Mtra. Edna Edith Escalante Ramírez (PJEM) y autoridades de la Comisión de Derechos Humanos del Estado de México (CODHEM) en el Centro Penitenciario y de Reinserción Social (CPRS) de “Santiaguito”.

Autoridades de Control Penitenciario de la Secretaría de Seguridad, presentaron a las visitantes los espacios diseñados para la impartición de talleres de armado de foamy y costura que permiten a las mujeres privadas de libertad recibir un pago como remuneración por su trabajo en alguna de las empresas de la Industria Penitenciaria; dentro del área femenil de Santiaguito se cuenta con una biblioteca, una bebeteca en la que se dan terapias de estimulación temprana, los dormitorios exclusivos para los niños y niñas menores de 3 años que viven con sus mamás al interior del Centro.
