Ayuntamiento toluqueño realiza acciones en pro del bienestar animal tras caso de perros envenenados



El presidente municipal de Toluca, Juan Maccise Naime, informó que no se han registrado más casos de perros envenenados. Esto luego de que confirmaran la muerte de cuatro caninos en San Mateo Oxtotitlán.

A decir del alcalde en su administración se han llevado a cabo acciones en favor del bienestar animal, por lo que dijo incluso el ayuntamiento de Toluca es Pet Friendly, con el objetivo de ser más inclusivo con las personas que acuden con perritos.

Agregó que en lo que resta de la administración realizarán acciones para evitar este tipo de practicas.

Hay que recordar que el gobierno de la ciudad de Toluca, confirmó que al menos cuatro perros fueron envenenados en la Delegación San Mateo Oxtotitlán, esto luego de que la denuncia fuera hecha por vecinos de la localidad.

El Centro de Control y Bienestar Animal (CCyBA) de la capital del Estado de México, detalló que acudió a las calles Pirul esquina Niños Héroes, donde se hallaron cuatro cadáveres de caninos en la vía pública, de los cuales dos eran machos sin esterilizar, una hembra sin esterilizar y otra ya esterilizada y aretada (arete 064).

Una vez recolectados, fueron transportados al Centro de Control donde se realizó un examen post mortem y se halló que los caninos presentaban rigidez cadavérica intensa y síndrome asfíctico (congestión y edema pulmonar), lo anterior es consistente o sugerente con un acto de envenenamiento.

Por lo que procedió a buscar posibles “cebos” contaminados para evitar su dispersión. Ya hay una investigación en curso.
