7.9% de los estudiantes de educación media-superior abandonan la escuela






El 6 de diciembre de 2018 la asamblea general de las Naciones unidas proclamó el 24 de enero como el Día Internacional de la Educación. De acuerdo con información de la Comisión Nacional de Derechos Humanos en México, en México, 4 millones de niños, niñas y adolescentes no asisten a la escuela, 600 mil están en riesgo de abandonarla por la falta de recursos, la lejanía de las escuelas y por la violencia.

De acuerdo con Karla Azotea, docente de preparatoria, alguna de las dificultades que enfrentan las y los estudiantes de educación media superior, son los gastos en transporte, alimentos y materiales escolares.

De acuerdo con el instituto nacional de estadística y geografía, al 2020, en el estado de México hay 4 millones 350 mil 3 estudiantes y solo el 3.4 por ciento de la población en el estado de México es analfabeta.

Según los indicadores de la secretaria de educación pública el abandono escolar en el estado de México por nivel educativo es: primaria con 0.1 por ciento, secundaria con 2.0 por ciento, media superior con 7.9 por ciento y educación superior con 9.0 por ciento.
