36 Años como patrimonio cultural de la humanidad



La majestuosa Zona Arqueológica de Teotihuacán celebra el 36º aniversario de su designación como Patrimonio Cultural de la Humanidad.

Con más de 250 hectáreas, esta Ciudad de los Dioses presenta complejos arquitectónicos impresionantes. Algunos de éstos son la Ciudadela, el Templo de Quetzalcóatl, y las pirámides de la Luna y del Sol.

El reconocimiento de la UNESCO en 1987 destaca su diseño y organización arquitectónica como una de las urbes prehispánicas más grandes del mundo antiguo. Los conjuntos residenciales de Tetitla, Atetelco, Tepantitla y la Ventilla, junto con pinturas murales en «Los Muertos», reflejan su esplendor.

Para disfrutar en familia, Teotihuacán ofrece dos museos: el de la Cultura Teotihuacana y el de Murales Teotihuacanos «Beatriz de la Fuente», así como exposiciones temporales. Además, los visitantes pueden sumergirse en actividades milenarias como el juego de pelota, danzas prehispánicas, temazcales y talleres de cacao.

La gastronomía tradicional aguarda a los exploradores con exquisitos platillos como escamoles, chinicuiles, xoconostle y chapulines, acompañados del ancestral pulque. Abierto de lunes a domingo de 08:00 a 17:00 horas, Teotihuacán invita a vivir la historia y cultura por un costo de 90 pesos por persona.
