13 millones de mexiquenses podrán votar este 2 de junio



Hoy inicia la jornada electoral en el Estado de México, la entidad con la mayor cantidad de electores del país. Un total de 13 millones 26 mil 714 ciudadanos podrán ejercer su derecho al voto en 20 mil 979 casillas instaladas en toda la región.

El Estado de México, con una lista nominal que duplica a la de Veracruz y supera en cinco millones a la de la Ciudad de México, elige este domingo 125 ayuntamientos, 75 diputados locales, 40 diputados federales, senadores y al presidente de la república. La capital del estado amaneció con un clima tranquilo y soleado, aunque no han faltado incidentes previos a la votación.

Este sábado, en el municipio de Mexicaltzingo, un grupo de pobladores identificados con Morena acusaron a la candidata de Fuerza y Corazón por México, Saray Benítez, de intentar comprar votos. A pesar de no encontrarse evidencia, la candidata fue retenida.

En Tlalmanalco, el candidato del PT a la alcaldía, Víctor Manuel Espinoza, denunció un ataque armado del que salió ileso. La jornada electoral fue formalmente inaugurada a las 8 de la mañana con una sesión del Consejo General del IEEM, que contó con la presencia de la gobernadora Delfina Gómez y la presidenta del IEEM, Amalia Pulido.
